VIP at Mantorp Park: Behind the Scenes of the Porsche Carrera Cup Finale
In collaboration with Mantorp Park.
After my second go-karting session in Gothenburg, my racing pulse was already sky-high. Just a few days later, things got even bigger. Thanks to a conversation with one of the managers at Mantorp Park, I received a VIP invitation for myself and a guest to the grand finale of the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia.
Since I live in Halmstad, traveling to major tracks isn't always straightforward. Heading to Mantorp Park felt exceptionally convenient this time, since it is significantly closer than Gelleråsen. The drive took two and a half to three hours, which made the trip smooth with fewer stops. The route itself was a fun, scenic experience, taking us through continuous forests for three straight hours.
Experiencing the final race from such close proximity at an iconic track was an absolute thrill for me as the owner of F1rmav. The atmosphere, the roar of the engines and the tension in the air were indescribable. Beyond the fierce racing, a major highlight was the grand VIP tent, where we enjoyed delicious food and fantastic service from a very welcoming staff. It was the perfect blend of premium motorsport and networking.
The day also brought unforgettable encounters in the paddock. I had the chance to meet Prince Carl Philip, and I spotted the young Swedish driver Alexia Danielsson. Connecting that world to F1rmav was incredibly cool.
To top it all off, I took a photo with Princess Sofia. I also spotted the King walking past several times, though he wasn't doing interviews. We were actually on our way to interview the Prince, but security politely asked us to wait until after the race.
The race ended with drama. On the final lap, the Prince scraped the right side of his car. Fortunately, it wasn't serious, but understandably he wasn't doing interviews afterwards, and a guard politely let us know. We completely understood: after a final lap like that, the last thing you want is a camera in your face.
This VIP visit gave F1rmav a massive wave of fresh inspiration. I am already looking forward to the next time we hit the tracks!
